Her passion to be a filmmaker comes from a lifelong goal to tell the stories of people who are underrepresented by society.

Being part of an ethnic minority, Zainichi Korean, she has been interested in tackling the social issues and inequality surrounding her by using moving images since a child. Majoring in Media, Communication, and Culture at International Christian University in Japan has broadened her knowledge and perspective to be a critical thinker, which led her to see and explore the world.

To follow her dream, she moved to the UK for her Masters's Degree and wrote and directed her first short film Beauty Is The Beast in 2021. The film was a social realism with an entire cast of East-Asian backgrounds.
